We have a large and diverse group of people who are homeschooling their children in Ohio. Hopefully, there is something for everyone here. If you find a listing you like, go that site and check out their links to other groups as well. This list is by no means complete. If you want to add your group to this list, contact us.

The groups are organized in the following sections:

Support Groups, Networks groups are singular organizations of people with a specific mission statement and goals. The descriptions chosen for this page hopefully capture that spirit.

Christian Home Educators of Cincinnati
Christian Home Educators of Cincinnati (CHEC) was founded in 1987 through the joining together of east and westside homeschool support groups to create a citywide organization. These pioneering home-educating families responded to God's call to assist and encourage all families who desired to incorporate their children's academic and spiritual education directly into their family life. Over the years, CHEC has grown to encompass a number of like-minded, geographically-based support groups located throughout the greater Cincinnati area.

LDS Home Educators Association
Every home is a homeschool. Some families have only a few minutes of family time each day; others have many hours to be together because the children are educated at home instead of at school. Although this website is designed for full time homeschoolers, we hope all families will find ideas here to make their homeschool happier. Before the Savior comes, the children will come home.

As a Catholic support group, we are committed to following Jesus Christ as instructed and led by the Magisterium (teaching authority) of the Roman Catholic Church. The Evolved Homeschooler
Welcome to The Evolved Homeschooler Wiki. This is intended to be a central resource to collect and maintain the best of the homeschool community on the Web. The idea is that rational homeschoolers are welcome to create their own page on the wiki and maintain a set of links or a collection of articles that represent their personal "best of." The criteria for eligibility is simple. You must believe that evolution is the best explanation we have today to explain how life has progressed on planet Earth. The Militry homeschooler - Serving homeschoolers in the United States, and around the world.
Military homeschoolers are a subset of two subsets. As military family members we walk like Americans, we talk like Americans but, despite having American citizenship and, for the most part, having been raised as Americans, we're not your run of the mill citizen. As homeschoolers we join support groups, we gather materials, and we are as diverse as the rest of the homeschooling community, but we're almost perennially strangers in a strange land.

Thinking Parents
This project was originally named Thinking Homeschoolers, however Thinking Parents sort of took over on its own. I can't change the name of the wiki page, so we are stuck with it. The idea behind Thinking Parents is to give us an excuse to think and write about something other than curriculum decisions or the latest dumb ass statement from HSLDA. (If you are offended by the HSLDA comment you really shouldn't be here.) Every two weeks we'll release a new topic. Any homeschooler that wants to write about that topic simply does so on their own blog and provides a link here. This page will hold the index of topics and schedule of future topics.
